I am a visual artist who started the taxidermy adventure in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in the UK. Having extra time on my hands and a soft spot for the macabre esthetics I have decided to attempt my first mouse mount. It later became a centerpiece of the diorama inside the dollhouse that I was remodeling at the time.

Inspired by many horror films that I have watched over the years and fascinated by the preservation process, I began creating more mice characters, some of which have been used in the Netflix series 'Wednesday'.

I still take pleasure in painting and sculpture, and as a member of the UK Guild of Taxidermists I also work on more traditional mounts but it’s the little odd creations that allow me to play with all the different mediums and techniques I honed over time.

The animals that I work with have not been harmed for the purpose of my pieces, they come from carefully vetted reptile food suppliers and pest controllers, have passed away of natural causes or have been unfortunate victims of road traffic accidents.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about my work, get a custom odd creation or to book a taxidermy workshop. I am always happy to hear from you.

Yours sincerely,

Bea
